pedagogy

Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy and antiracism are central to my curriculum, classroom, and performance ensembles. I believe that it is best to be a facilitator rather than a lecturer in any teaching setting: learning happens through discovery and dialogue by posing problems for students to solve through interaction rather than via a one-way transfer of information requiring them to take notes and simply reproduce information for a test. True learning happens when we can relate problems to ourselves and the world.
